Job Summary
Provide hands-on daily care and support to children with medical complexities, assisting with activities of daily living and encouraging independence. Support developmentally appropriate activities and daily schedules while working as part of a caring, multidisciplinary team under nursing supervision. Engage meaningfully with children rather than simply observing them, utilizing clear communication skills and basic computer proficiency for electronic charting. Current CPR/Basic Life Support certification and a negative TB test are required. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday from 6am to 6pm and Saturday from 8am to 4pm, with Sundays and holidays always closed.
Required Qualifications
- Great communicator – clear, warm and easy to understand
- An ability and to really engage with children, not just watch them!
- Comfortable with basic computer use and learning electronic charting
- Current negative TB test (PPD) required
- Current CPR/Basic Life Support certification required
Desired Qualifications
- Childcare/healthcare experience preferred (not required!)
