Job Summary
Provide caring and personalized assistance to residents by performing bathing, showering, grooming, dining support, toileting, and medication administration. Escort residents using wheelchairs or walking aids, assist with morning and bedtime routines, and perform light room upkeep. Answer call signals, document care in log books, and communicate resident changes immediately to the Wellness Leader. Maintain knowledge of safety procedures, attend staff meetings, and uphold 1440 care standards while building strong relationships with families and peers.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- This position entails standing for long periods of time
- The employee is required to communicate effectively with others
- The employee must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
- The employee is expected to possess good organization skills
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- The employee must be compassionate and empathetic
- Occasional travel to different locations may be required
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous Healthcare, Geriatrics or experience working with the elderly population preferred
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) Certification preferred
