Job Summary
Join a supportive team at Senior Helpers as a Caregiver, providing essential assistance with daily activities for senior clients. Responsibilities include companionship, personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing), meal planning, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. The ideal candidate must demonstrate respect for clients, be able to communicate in English, and possess a valid driver’s license. Flexibility is essential, along with the ability to adapt to various situations and needs. Competitive pay is offered at $21/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
- Ability to read, write, and speak English at an average adult level and interpret the Plan of Care Document provided by Senior Helpers
- Spanish speakers welcomed; se habla Español
- Ability to drive is preferred
- Ability to use public transportation to get to work
- Valid US issued driver’s license with no serious driving violations
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
- Pass a criminal background check prior to employment with Senior Helpers
- Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care, a plus, but not required
- Must be able to be reached via phone or email for shift schedules, client updates and/or emergencies
