Job Summary
THRIVE AS A CAREGIVER AT SEVITA: Be proud of rewarding work helping people grow, learn, and live well. You’ll assist people with their personal hygiene (bathing, dressing, toileting) and support individuals who can have behavioral challenges and other complex needs. Responsibilities include driving/transporting clients, coordinating with a team, and supporting participants to achieve developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. Must have a valid driver’s license for 12 months post permit, a reliable vehicle with insurance, and attend a paid two-week orientation. Shifts vary by client needs and may include overnight and weekend hours; six months of related experience preferred; strong communication, adaptability, and time-management skills are required. Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months post permit/intermediate
- Vehicle: Reliable and registered vehicle with proof of insurance used to transport clients
- Education: If younger than 21 YO, High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must attend paid 2-week orientation
- Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred
- Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management
- Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
