Job Summary
Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community settings; assist with daily living skills including meal preparation and medication administration; support with transportation to outings, medical appointments, and shopping; help implement therapeutic and behavioral plans, guide development of skills related to community participation, budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational responsibilities; assist with personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, and toileting; support individuals in redirecting agitated or aggressive behaviors; based in California community settings with in-person responsibilities; requires HS diploma/GED, 18+ years old, valid driver’s license, background checks, and access to a vehicle; multiple schedules available (full-time, part-time, and as needed).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be minimum of 18 years of age
- Six months of experience in human services preferred
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
- Successful clearance of background checks
