Job Summary
Provide loving care and support to residents by assisting with activities of daily living such as toileting, grooming, bathing, feeding, dressing, and moving them throughout the facility. Ensure resident privacy, dignity, and safety while detecting and reporting unsafe conditions that could cause harm. Respond to calls, monitor food intake, and maintain physical comfort and mental well-being. Participate in monthly in-service meetings, all training, and departmental meetings. Work full-time or part-time schedules including Sunday through Thursday from 6am to 2:30pm or Saturday and Sunday with a shift differential. Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procurement manuals, etc.
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English
- Must be able to understand and follow written and oral direction
- Must show good judgement in recognizing symptoms indicative of resident's change in condition
- Must have the ability to provide maximum resident-care services within limits defined by delegated tasks
- Successful completion of state approved medication administration training
- First aid certification
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in health-care

- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in providing resident care services
- Understanding of standard techniques and procedures used in providing personal services for resident and in caring for equipment and supplies
