Job Summary
Perform daily care tasks including toileting, grooming, bathing, feeding, dressing, and moving residents while ensuring their privacy, respect, and dignity. Detect and report unsafe conditions that may harm residents, and monitor their physical comfort, safety, and mental well-being. Assist with activities of daily living and respond to resident calls throughout the shift. Participate in monthly in-service meetings, all training, and departmental meetings to maintain standards. Work Sunday through Thursday from 2pm to 10pm as part of our family-like environment focused on servant-leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procurement manuals, etc
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English
- Must be able to understand and follow written and oral direction
- Must show good judgement in recognizing symptoms indicative of resident's change in condition
- Must have the ability to provide maximum resident-care services within limits defined by delegated tasks
- Successful completion of state approved medication administration training
- First aid certification
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in healthcare

- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in providing resident care services
- Understanding of standard techniques and procedures used in providing personal services for resident and in caring for equipment and supplies
- Good understanding of basis of universal precautions to avoid infection of residents and self or contamination of equipment and supplies
