Job Summary
Caregiver provides compassionate, client-centered support to enhance clients’ quality of life, independence, and well-being. Responsibilities include preparing meals with dietary considerations, light housekeeping, assisting with mobility, monitoring prescribed medications (not administering), providing companionship, engaging in social and recreational activities to reduce isolation, assisting with transportation to appointments and errands, and maintaining accurate care documentation per agency policies. The role emphasizes safety, dignity, confidentiality, and adherence to professional standards, with performance measured by client satisfaction, adherence to care plans, punctuality, quality of care, communication, client engagement, incident tracking, and documentation accuracy. Requires 18+; CPR/First Aid training provided; driving a vehicle may be required.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Clean background check, clean drug screen, clean driving record
- Access to a safe and insured vehicle
- Negative TB test
- Ability to pass First Aid and CPR certification (we will provide)
- Basic literacy and communication skills to follow care plans and document services provided
- Prior experience is preferred but not always required; on-the-job training available
