Job Summary
Deliver loving care and assistance with activities of daily living including toileting, grooming, bathing, feeding, dressing, and moving residents. Detect and report unsafe conditions while ensuring resident privacy, dignity, physical comfort, and mental well-being. Respond to calls and participate in monthly in-service meetings, training, and departmental meetings. Maintain good communication skills to follow written and oral directions and recognize symptoms indicative of a resident's change in condition. Work part-time shifts on Sundays, Fridays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays with PRN on-call availability.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read and write English
- Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procurement manuals, etc
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English
- Must be able to understand and follow written and oral direction
- Must show good judgement in recognizing symptoms indicative of resident's change in condition
- Must have the ability to provide maximum resident-care services within limits defined by delegated tasks
- Successful completion of state approved medication administration training
- First aid certification
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
