Job Summary
The Caregiver - PT is responsible for assisting residents with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, personal hygiene, and transportation. Essential duties include responding to resident needs, reading care plans, providing mealtime assistance, maintaining resident dignity, and performing regular safety checks. The position requires physical mobility to manage caregiving tasks effectively and adherence to safety protocols. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and obtain necessary clearances and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Age 18 or over, or have the proper work permit and work authorization documentation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Background clearances as required by government regulations
- Complete a health screening and provide negative TB test results (must be within the last 6 months or within 7 days of employment)
- Must be able to read and speak English
- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Ability to interact effectively with people of different ages and backgrounds
- Must meet and maintain all state specific regulatory requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Nurses Aid certification preferred
- Current first aid certification
- Prior Caregiving experience preferred
