Job Summary
The Caregiver - PT supports residents in daily living activities including bathing, grooming and hygiene, meals, mobility, and transportation to activities, while maintaining resident dignity and safety. Responsibilities include following care plans, assisting with daily living tasks, providing mealtime assistance, documenting information, responding to resident needs promptly, and encouraging participation in meaningful activities. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, compliance with policies and safety procedures, and collaboration with the health services team to ensure comfort and well-being of residents in an assisted living setting.
Required Qualifications
- Age 18 or over, or have proper work permit/work authorization
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Nurses Aid certification preferred
- Current first aid certification
- Background clearances as required by government regulations
- Health screening and negative TB test results (within last 6 months or within 7 days of employment)
- Prior caregiving experience preferred but on-the-job training available
