Job Summary
Assist with personal care, toileting, incontinence care, and safe mobility transfers for a male senior. Provide meal preparation, mealtime assistance, and light housekeeping including vacuuming, dishwashing, laundry, and bathroom cleaning. Offer meaningful companionship, supervision, and respite support while observing and reporting changes in the client's condition. Provide reminders for self-administered medications per the care plan. Italian language ability is required; English proficiency and a valid driver's license are also necessary. Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate in Italian
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must meet the required standard on the PSW skills assessment
- Must meet the required standard on the DEARS Drugs and Ethics assessment
- Valid driver's licence and access to an insured vehicle, or reliable transportation to the client's home
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a provincially recognized Personal Support Worker, Certified Nurse Aide, Health Care Aide, or equivalent program
- Previous experience supporting seniors
