Job Summary
Provide heartfelt care for residents by assisting with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, peri-care, and toileting. Serve residents at breakfast, lunch, and dinner while encouraging independence and maintaining a clean, safe environment through daily housekeeping and laundry duties. Interact with residents, families, and visitors with empathy, ensuring dignified care and promptly responding to requests for assistance. Observe and report changes in resident health, safety hazards, and emergency situations to the supervisor. Comply with HIPAA regulations, emergency procedures, and established policies while participating in trainings and mentoring new employees.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to two years related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
