Job Summary
Administer care to numerous residents in accordance with established plans of care or communicated by the wellness director, administrator, or other community personnel. Perform assigned tasks including personal services, activities of daily living, social-recreational activities, meal services, and life enrichment. Communicate with the Wellness Director regarding client status, maintenance, supplies, and personnel issues. Reviews, updates, and maintains Caregiver's notes daily while adhering to the philosophy of supporting dignity, privacy, and independence. Arrives before shift for handover exchanges and ensures a clean, safe environment. Evacuate clients safely in emergencies and participate in required training programs.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of one year experience in working with older adults as a personal care assistant
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- Ability/willingness to perform all position responsibilities adequately
Desired Qualifications
- Twelve (12) plus years of education
- Meet continuing education requirements and certifications on job classification and position, including state requirements
