Job Summary
Conduct daily activities of daily living for residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and meal assistance. Administer medications after training, prepare and cook food per posted menus, and assist with serving meals. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing general housekeeping, deep cleaning, laundry, and garbage collection. Update resident records, report changes in physical or emotional condition, and document participation in scheduled activities. Collect garbage from rooms and kitchens each shift, removing incontinent supplies immediately. Attend all required trainings and in-service meetings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training with working with seniors
- Basic computer skills/knowledge
- Valid CPR, First Aid and Food Handlers cards
- Working knowledge of Assisted Living and Residential Care philosophy along with Resident's Rights
- Understand Senior Housing Managers Code of Conduct and Employee Handbook
- Frequent standing and walking
- Occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling and working in confined spaces
- Lift and/or move residents weighing more than 100 pounds with appropriate assistance or equipment
