Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and meal transport according to individual service plans. Administer medications after training, update resident records, and report changes in physical or emotional condition to supervisors. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing general housekeeping, deep cleaning, laundry, and meal cleanup. Prepare and cook food per posted menus, assist with serving meals, and collect garbage while removing soiled supplies immediately. Set up and document participation in daily scheduled activities. Maintain confidentiality, respect resident privacy, and adapt to evolving facility and resident needs. Full-time position with medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and PTO benefits. No experience necessary; pre-service training provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training with working with seniors
- Basic computer skills/knowledge
- Valid CPR, First Aid and Food Handlers cards (can be acquired during the hiring process)
- Working knowledge of Assisted Living and Residential Care philosophy along with Resident's Rights
- Understand Senior Housing Managers Code of Conduct and Employee Handbook
- Frequent standing and walking
- Occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling and working in confined spaces
- Lift and/or move residents weighing more than 100 pounds with appropriate assistance or equipment
