Job Summary
Provide assistance with activities of daily living including medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and escort services for residents in the Assisted Living Program. Document daily logs of assistance and inform the supervisor of any resident issues or concerns while respecting confidentiality and encouraging independence. Deliver emotional and social support to residents following the schedule of their needs set out by the supervisor. Maintain a positive demeanor while working as part of a team to handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently in high-stress situations.
Required Qualifications
- at least one year of experience working in senior care
- Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate with supervisor and other employees, and respond and communicate to emergency situations
- basic computer skills
- ability to work as a part of a team and handle multiple tasks safely and efficiently
- ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in high stress situations
- ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward the residents and your co-workers
