Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect personal care to patients in home settings under the direction of a registered nurse. Maintain effective communication with supervisors regarding patient conditions and observe for changes in behavior or status. Follow written assignments to deliver patient services and document accurate accounts of services provided. Submit required documentation in a timely manner while adhering to state regulations for Home Health Aides. Utilize safety measures and provided PPE when handling body fluids or hazardous waste products. Report any observed changes in patient condition or behavior immediately to the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Adequate health status to perform described duties.
- Ability to safely handle body fluids and hazardous waste products.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Must meet personnel qualifications.
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program preferred
- Active HHA license preferred
