Job Summary
Join a dedicated team as a Waddler Caregiver, responsible for supporting early childhood education by assisting the Lead Caregiver in planning and implementing curriculum for toddlers. Responsibilities include ensuring a safe and supportive classroom environment, daily supervision of children, completing routine paperwork, maintaining classroom organization, and complying with daycare regulations. Candidates should possess strong teamwork and communication skills, a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least three months of related experience, whether paid or volunteer.
Required Qualifications
- Must have the ability and desire to work with children of all ages and their families
- Must be able to work well in a team-teaching atmosphere
- Must exhibit good judgment and be able to maintain confidentiality
- Must have good communication skills and be able to follow oral and written directions
- Must have acceptable physical and mental health to carry out the responsibilities of the position including lifting children, climbing stairs, bending, stooping and stocking shelves
- Must attend meetings and First Aid/MAT training if requested
- Must have a NYS Driver's License with good driving record and access to a reliable vehicle
- Must complete and maintain required training in specific topic areas as assigned; completes a minimum of 30 hours over a two-year period
