Job Summary

Deliver direct support per individual service plans, assisting with socialization, health maintenance, medication administration, and skill development. Provide personal care, housekeeping, recreational activities, transportation, and community integration for up to 10 individuals in periodic programs. Accurately document progress, maintain confidentiality, and report medical or behavioral incidents per policy. Administer medications, prepare meals according to dietary plans, and manage individual assets within budget. Transport individuals safely into the community, ensuring proper use of safety equipment. Maintain a clean, safe environment and report hazards or equipment malfunctions. Work Friday through Sunday, 8pm to 8am, at the Emory - Lubbock, TX site.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • Car registration and vehicle insurance if providing transportation for individuals receiving services
  • All state-required training(s) and certification(s) completed in mandated timeframes
  • Must maintain valid driver's license, meet all insurance requirements, and be approved by management to be a driver for the company
  • Must have a valid driver's license in good standing in The State of New Jersey
  • Must have a valid driver's license in good standing for the state in which they live (if commuting from another state)
  • At minimum, a High School Diploma/Equivalent is required
  • Must submit to drug testing prior to employment
  • Must submit to drug testing randomly and for cause/suspicion
  • Must submit to criminal background checks
  • Must be determined not to be disqualified by the Department of Human Services prior to working with individuals served
  • Must agree to have their name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities
  • Must complete an application to have their name checked against the Child Abuse Registry Information (CARI)
  • Must successfully complete and demonstrate proficiency in all areas of required trainings
  • Must cooperate with the licensee and Department of Human Services staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation

Desired Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Six months of experience in human services preferred
