Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect personal care to patients in home settings under a registered nurse's direction. Utilize safety measures during care delivery and maintain effective communication with supervisors regarding patient conditions. Follow written assignments to deliver services and document accurate accounts of all activities provided. Observe patients for changes in condition or behavior and report findings to the supervisor promptly. Submit required documentation in a timely manner while adhering to state regulations defining the home health aide role. Ensure adequate health status and ability to safely handle body fluids and hazardous waste products.
Required Qualifications
- Adequate health status to perform described duties.
- Ability to safely handle body fluids and hazardous waste products.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Must meet personnel qualifications.
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program preferred
- Active HHA license preferred
