Job Summary
Bathe, groom, and assist with daily living activities for residents while administering medications per established protocols. Monitor vital signs, report abnormal physical or mental changes, and document all care on daily assignment sheets. Transport residents to meals, activities, and appointments, ensuring safety during transfers and positioning. Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents, maintaining infection control and equipment standards. Perform housekeeping functions and admit, transfer, or discharge residents as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must have current CPR and First Aid certification
- Training per state requirements
- Ability to obtain Medication Manager certification on-site at community if not already certified
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to occasionally reach with hands and arms and push/pull equipment frequently
- Must be able to occasionally travel to different locations
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous Healthcare, Geriatrics or experience working with the elderly population preferred
- Desire to work with geriatric population
