Job Summary
Assist with personal care, including hygiene, showering, brief changes, and catheter care for a bedbound client with Cerebral Palsy. Safely perform transfers using a Hoyer Lift and prepare meals based on client preferences. Provide light housekeeping, care for household pets including a guinea pig and a blind dog, and hand medications when requested. Document care refusals per agency policy and report emergencies to emergency services and the office. Shift runs Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. Paid training and orientation are provided, along with ongoing supervisor support.
Required Qualifications
- Comfortable providing personal care for a bedbound client
- Patient, dependable, and respectful of client privacy
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Able to work independently and respond promptly to client needs
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet company hiring requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Hoyer Lift transfers preferred (training available for the right candidate)
