Job Summary
Assist and monitor clients during dressing, bathing, toileting, meal preparation, housekeeping, and medication administration. Implement behavior programs, data collection, and safety procedures while transporting clients on company vehicles for community outings and day programs. Participate in interdisciplinary team communication, complete required competency testing, and ensure work areas and vehicles remain clean and secure. Report client rights violations and on-the-job injuries to supervisory staff immediately. Arrive on time, adhere to dress code, and maintain positive interactions with clients, families, and coworkers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
- NC Driver's License
- 21 years of age or older
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work well with others
- Self-motivation
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability to be reached by phone
- Physical strength to lift or move up to 40 lbs or more
- Ability to perform MANDT, CPR, and First Aid techniques
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with daily contact with body fluids, cleaning agents, and general household equipment
