Job Summary
Respite Caregiver provides direct personal care and related services to clients in their residence. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, mobility), transfers, meal preparation, medication reminders, and providing companionship. Requires CPR and First Aid, 1+ year of personal care experience, ability to lift and assist clients, and strong communication and documentation skills (EVV/timekeeping). Role is field-based, part-time, traveling to the client’s home, with availability during regular business hours (M-F 9am–5pm) and potential weekend availability. Performs duties inside clients’ homes and adheres to care plans and safety guidelines, with overtime requiring Respite Manager approval.
Required Qualifications
- Current CPR and Basic First Aid.
- Current and satisfactory report on pre-employment physical examination including TB Screening Test or chest X-ray as required by Agency policies and procedures.
- Must be able to perform 1+ years experience performing personal care services.
- Able to walk, bend, stoop, and lift objects appropriate for job performance.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, read, write legibly, spell correctly, perform basic mathematics, understand and carry out service plans.
