Job Summary
Caregiver (Care Specialist) responsible for providing comfort, safety and general supervision to residents by assisting with activities of daily living, administering medications, and tending to individual care needs while learning residents’ preferences and personalities. Essential duties include administering medications per physician orders and documenting completion, reviewing eMAR each shift, verifying accuracy of medication orders, assisting with activities of daily living, responding to call lights and safety alarms promptly, observing and reporting changes to the Care Coordinator/Director, ensuring adequate medication supply, completing daily charting and reporting, obtaining weights and vitals, assisting with training new employees, cleaning and disinfecting resident areas, assisting with meal setup/cleanup, leading or participating in activities, promoting positive relationships with residents and staff, maintaining confidentiality, and performing other duties as requested within scope. Education: High school diploma/GED required; CPR/First Aid certification required or obtained within 30 days; computer skills with Microsoft Office. Equal opportunity employer.
