Job Summary
Lead Caregiver role combining hands-on client care with leadership responsibilities: onboarding new clients, training caregivers on client care plans, conducting quality assurance visits, mentoring caregivers, conducting client check-ins and home safety assessments, and supporting staffing needs while ensuring high-quality care. Responsibilities include launching new client cases, direct care with mobility and hygiene support, training permanent caregivers, filling open shifts, conducting staff evaluations, documenting care observations, and supporting after-hours staffing and incident investigations. Preferred certifications include Nurse Delegation (Medication) and Diabetes Certification; 40-hour minimum workweek with occasional evenings/weekends; utilizes mobile apps/electronic documentation; strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Current NAC certification in Washington (or equivalent certification in Idaho)
- 3+ years of professional caregiving experience (leadership experience preferred)
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong communication, leadership, and coaching skills
- Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance
- Ability to pass required background checks
- Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and transfers
- Comfortable using mobile apps or electronic documentation systems
