Job Summary
Companion Caregiver role providing in-home support to seniors and people with disabilities. Responsibilities include providing companionship, assisting with personal hygiene and dressing, aiding mobility and physical therapy exercises, preparing meals and snacks, performing light housekeeping, administering medication reminders, running errands, and educating family members on safe care techniques. Requires patient, compassionate, reliable demeanor and ability to adhere to health and safety guidelines. Must be located within 10 miles of Hurricane, WV.
Required Qualifications
- Must live within 10 miles of Hurricane, WV
- Previous experience as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide, or similar role preferred
- First aid and CPR certified preferred
- Knowledge of basic housekeeping tasks and cooking skills
- Ability to adhere to health and safety guidelines
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Tolerant of small pets
- Compassionate, respectful, ethical
- Hoyer Lift experience preferred
