Job Summary
Caregiver duties include providing comprehensive resident care with emphasis on ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, incontinence care) and daily living activities, assisting residents to achieve optimal functioning in line with HAND Senior Living’s mission. Responsibilities cover infection control, responding to call lights, knowledge of geriatric health concerns and pharmacology/side effects, ongoing in-service training, promoting positive resident-family relations, supporting activity coordination, and assisting with meals, laundry, housekeeping, and safety. Effective communication, courtesy, dignity, HIPAA compliance, and teamwork are essential, along with recognizing residents’ rights and providing compassionate, respectful care tailored to individuals with stroke- or dementia-related needs. The role requires physical ability to assist with lifting/transfers and a sincere interest in working with a geriatric population.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have current First Aid and/or CPR Training or be able to obtain within 30 days of employment
- Minimum of one year experience providing care to seniors
- Must be able to obtain a Sheriff's Work Card
- Certified Nursing Assistant or Residential Assistant Training preferred
