Job Summary
Provide nonmedical in-home care to elderly or disabled clients per the care plan; assist with ADLs and personal hygiene; help with transfers, ambulation, and prescribed exercises; plan and prepare meals and assist with eating; assist with bathroom needs and incontinence care; perform household tasks, shopping, transportation, and companionship; remind about medications; document services and report changes; drive to appointments; maintain client records; participate in required training; maintain active CA Home Care Aide registration; flexible part-time to full-time shifts include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnights; includes ability to work varying hours (10-40 per week) and comply with CA caregiver regulations.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- Current registration with the State of California Home Care Aide Registry
- Criminal background check
- Evidence of entry-level training or plan to complete paid training per CA regulations
- Evidence of tuberculosis testing
- Ability to read and follow written instructions
- Self-direction with ability to work with little supervision
- Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance or reliable transportation
