Job Summary
Provide social companionship and support with daily living tasks including feeding, medication reminders, bathing, grooming, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. Assist clients with transportation to appointments and errands, standby for transfers, and offer overnight safety assistance. Work individually with seniors in their homes to enhance quality of life with empathy and integrity. No healthcare certification required; CNA, HHA, or geriatric care experience preferred. Full or part-time options available with flexible schedules. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel 15 miles required.
Required Qualifications
- Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
- Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
- Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test
- Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proof of valid driver's license
- Valid automobile insurance
- Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable
Desired Qualifications
- No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
- Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
- A compassionate heart for older adults
