Job Summary
Provide social companionship and support with daily living tasks including feeding, medication reminders, bathing, grooming, toileting, light housekeeping, laundry, and cooking/meal preparation. Assist clients with transfers, provide overnight safety assistance, and arrange transportation to appointments, errands, and social outings. Work one-on-one with seniors to help them age in place with dignity, compassion, and integrity. Full or part-time options available with flexible schedules. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel 15 miles required. Must be physically able to lift approximately 25lbs. Required Qualifications
- Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
- Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test
- Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proof of valid driver's license
- Valid automobile insurance
- Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable
Desired Qualifications
- No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
- Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
- Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
- A compassionate heart for older adults
