Job Summary
Provide social companionship and support with daily living tasks including feeding, medication reminders, bathing, grooming, and meal preparation. Assist clients with transfers, provide overnight safety assistance, and arrange transportation to appointments and social outings. Maintain personal hygiene and light housekeeping duties while ensuring dignity and compassion for seniors aging in place. This role offers flexible full or part-time schedules with opportunities for advancement and training. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel 15 miles for shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
- Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test
- Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proof of valid driver's license
- Valid automobile insurance
- Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable
Desired Qualifications
- No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
- Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
- A compassionate heart for older adults
