Job Summary
Provide social companionship and support with daily living tasks including feeding, medication reminders, bathing, grooming, and meal preparation. Assist clients with transfers, provide overnight safety assistance, and arrange transportation to appointments and social outings. Maintain personal hygiene and light housekeeping duties while ensuring dignity and compassion in home care settings. This role offers flexible full or part-time schedules with opportunities for advancement and training. Candidates must be physically able to lift 25lbs, possess a valid driver's license, and travel up to 15 miles for shifts. At At HomeWell Care Services of NWI, you will join a team dedicated to helping seniors age in place with empathy and excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
- Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test
- Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proof of valid driver's license
- Valid automobile insurance
- Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable
Desired Qualifications
- CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons
- Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care
