Job Summary
Provide social companionship and support with daily living tasks including feeding, medication reminders, bathing, grooming, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. Assist clients with transfers, provide overnight safety assistance, and transport them to appointments, errands, and social outings. Maintain a compassionate heart for older adults while ensuring dignity and care in all interactions. This role requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel 15 miles for scheduled shifts. No healthcare certification is required, though CNA or HHA experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
- Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test
- Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proof of valid driver's license
- Valid automobile insurance
- Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable
Desired Qualifications
- CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons
- Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care
