Job Summary
Provide social companionship and support with daily living tasks including feeding, medication reminders, bathing, grooming, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. Assist clients with transfers, offer overnight safety assistance, and arrange transportation to appointments and social outings. Work individually with seniors in their homes to enhance their quality of life, maintaining empathy and integrity throughout care interactions. This role offers flexible full or part-time schedules with opportunities for advancement. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel up to 15 miles for shifts. Physical ability to lift approximately 25 lbs is required.
Required Qualifications
- Pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
- Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test
- Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proof of valid driver's license
- Valid automobile insurance
- Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable
Desired Qualifications
- CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons
- Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care
