Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, grooming, peri-care, toileting, and hygiene while encouraging independence. Serve residents at breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, and perform general housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Interact with residents, families, and visitors with empathy, reporting changes in health or emotional wellbeing to the supervisor. Initiate and participate in leisure activities, ensure resident sign-outs, and respond promptly to requests for assistance. Maintain HIPAA compliance, follow emergency procedures, and support associates during inclement weather or crises.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to two years related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
