Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Support residents during mealtimes, recreational activities, and daily routines while responding promptly to call lights. Maintain a clean environment through light housekeeping and monitor health changes to report concerns to nursing staff. Build positive relationships with residents and families, encouraging participation in social and wellness activities. Collaborate with nurses, dining, and life enrichment staff to coordinate holistic care and attend team meetings. Requires CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to complete training, with physical ability to lift and transfer residents. Part-time AM/PM shifts available with PRN/on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Dependable and flexible with shift availability (including weekends or holidays as needed)
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and move throughout the shift
- Able to assist with resident transfers and physical support using proper techniques
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or personal care assistant preferred, but not required
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to complete training upon hire
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and team members
- Ability to provide care with kindness, patience, and respect for residents' dignity and independence
