Job Summary
Conduct personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding a senior veteran with dementia. Assist with transfers using a gait belt, perform housekeeping, plan meals, and provide medication reminders while offering companionship. Work 11 hours weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm or 3:00 pm. Maintain reliable transportation and be reachable for schedule updates or emergencies. Must possess Gait Belt experience and ability to interpret the client's plan of care. Prior dementia care experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Must have Gait Belt experience
- Ability to interpret the client's provided plan of care
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
- Must be able to be reached via phone or email for shift schedules, client updates and/or emergencies
- Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
- Non-smoker
