Job Summary
Assist a senior veteran with dementia in personal care tasks including bathing, grooming, dressing, feeding, and transfers using a gait belt. Provide companionship, perform light and heavy housekeeping, plan meals, and manage medication reminders. Work flexible part-time hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays in Lombard, maintaining reliable transportation and availability for shift updates. Prior dementia care experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Must have Gait Belt experience
- Ability to interpret the client's provided plan of care
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
- Must be able to be reached via phone or email for shift schedules, client updates and/or emergencies
- Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
- Non-smoker
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care, a plus!
