Job Summary
Conduct personal care activities assisting patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, ambulation, transfers, dressing, shaving, and meal preparation. Accompany patients on errands or medical appointments and perform light housekeeping tasks. Provide patient-specific activities such as hospice supportive care, medication reminders, prescribed range of motion exercises, blood glucose monitoring, and care of bed-bound patients. Utilize lifting equipment like gait belts and Hoyer lifts for incontinence care and transfers. Flexible scheduling with weekend shift differentials and benefits available for full-time equivalent roles.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living
- Ability to perform light housekeeping activities
- Ability to perform patient-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home staff
- Ability to use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts
- Ability to provide hospice supportive care
- Ability to provide medication reminders
- Ability to assist with the prescribed range of motion exercises
- Ability to assist with blood glucose monitoring
- Ability to care of bed-bound patients
- Ability to perform incontinence care
- Ability to accompany patient on errands or medical appointments
- Ability to prepare meals and snacks according to instructions
- Ability to assist with dressing and shaving
- Ability to assist with ambulation and transfers
