Job Summary
Assist clients with personal care including bathing, dressing, ambulation, and transfers. Accompany clients to grocery stores, doctor appointments, and pharmacy visits. Support active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care while documenting observed changes to the Director of Nursing. Maintain client confidentiality in adherence to HIPAA. This role offers flexible scheduling with weekend and evening opportunities, weekly pay, and direct deposit. BrightStar Care provides free in-house training and a supportive environment for caregivers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified CPR
- Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile with proof of insurance
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively
- Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality
Desired Qualifications
- CNA preferred but not required, Home Health Aide will be considered
- Experience as a Caregiver, CNA, Home Health Aide, Personal Care Aide/Assistant, or similar positions
