Job Summary
Provide personal assistance services to maintain safety in clients' homes, including lifting, turning, dressing, bathing, and using the restroom. Clean client areas, prepare meals according to dietary needs, run errands, and transport clients in your own vehicle with valid insurance. Report violations of client rights, maintain confidentiality, and complete all documentation timely. Communicate with supervisors regarding schedule changes or performance issues. Maintain professional relationships while adhering to company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English
- Must have honesty and integrity
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have vehicle insurance
- Must have a CNA, PCA or HHA certificate
- Must have a current CPR and TB screening
- Must not have a criminal record which would bar employment
- Must be able to tolerate a physical workload including standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to tolerate a variety of housing conditions
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for day shifts
- Must be available for night shifts
- Must be available for overnight shifts
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year experience in a variety of senior care settings as a Caregiver or a CNA
- At least one year previous experience in care giving for the elderly
