Job Summary
Health and Wellness Assistant provides daily care and service to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (dressing, eating, grooming, toileting, mobility) per each resident’s care plan. Delivers friendly, courteous, timely, and professional support to achieve high resident satisfaction. Works under the guidance of the Director of Health and Wellness within community standards and procedures. Full-time role with a 2:00pm–10:30pm shift on weekdays and rotating weekends; located in Lake Mary, FL; on-site at Grand Living communities. Emphasizes compassionate care, adherence to care plans, effective communication with residents and colleagues, and maintaining a high level of service in a luxury senior-living environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- One or more years of experience providing assistance with ADLs, highly preferred
- One or more years of experience working with seniors, preferred
- Ability to read, write and understand English to provide assistance with ADLs, observe and provide medication assistance, and communicate with residents and staff
- Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without sitting for extended periods
- Ability to lift or carry up to 40 pounds
