Job Summary
Provide direct and indirect personal care to clients in the home setting under the direction of a registered nurse or therapist. Utilize safety measures during care delivery, observe clients for changes in condition or behavior, and report findings to the supervisor. Maintain effective communication regarding client status, document and submit accurate accounts of services provided, and recognize emergencies while demonstrating knowledge of emergency procedures. Adhere to all Agency policies, state regulations defining the Home Health Aide role, and confidentiality requirements. Complete necessary background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
Required Qualifications
- HHA certification or CNA license
- CPR or BLS certification
- Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes
- Must demonstrate a satisfactory level of competency evidenced by evaluation
- Adequate health status to perform described duties
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with clients and staff
- Must meet personnel qualifications
- Successful completion of at least 75 hours of classroom and practical training with 16 hours of supervised practical training
