Job Summary
Provide personal care and psychosocial support to residents by assisting with activities of daily living, housekeeping, cooking, and meals. Develop relationships with residents and their families while facilitating socialization and meaningful interactions. Perform daily record keeping and report changes in routine or behavior to the ED/Health and Wellness Director or RCC. Administer medications as delegated by nursing staff and maintain a team focus through monthly staff meetings and care conferences. Assist with resident and facility laundry, dusting, vacuuming, garbage removal, and bathroom cleaning. Lift more than 50 pounds using proper techniques and communicate effectively regarding resident needs. Complete infections control training, pass criminal background checks, and maintain good health. Work full-time shifts including 10 PM to 6 AM, 6 AM to 2 PM, and PRN as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience as a caregiver
- Experience working with individuals diagnosed with Dementia
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to complete infections control training
- No communicable diseases
- Familiarity with OSHA blood-borne Pathogen standards
- Ability to lift more than 50 pounds
- Ability to use proper lifting techniques
- Ability to pass criminal background checks
- Good health
- Reliable transportation
- Compassion
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to work FULL TIME 10PM -6AM
- Ability to work FULL TIME 6AM/2PM
- Ability to work PRN (as needed) all shifts
