Job Summary
Join RHA Health Services as a Caregiver/Direct Support Professional and make a difference in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as mental health and substance use challenges. This role involves assisting clients with health and safety procedures, community life participation, and medical requests. You will implement person-centered plans to support individuals in achieving their personal goals. Candidates must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver's license, and have a high school diploma or GED. Physical capabilities include lifting, squatting, and demonstrating CPR proficiency. This full-time position offers flexible schedules and opportunities for training and advancement.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid drivers’ license
- High School/GED
- Physical requirements to perform essential functions of the job included: Regularly required to lift 30 lbs. Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs. Must be able to pull a minimum of 50lbs. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stop. Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Required to regularly stand and walk. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level requiring to work on hands, knees, bending, standing and lifting. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
Additional Requirements
- Positions that require driving Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle, IF required for providing transportation for individuals.
