Job Summary
Join RHA Health Services as a Caregiver / Direct Support Professional to provide essential support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as those facing mental health and substance use challenges. Responsibilities include helping clients identify personal outcomes, implementing personal plans, assisting with food preparation and housekeeping, dispensing medication, and supporting clients in various activities. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or G.E.D., with preference for related experience or degrees, and a valid driver's license. This role requires a flexible schedule and may involve on-call work.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Two years’ experience in a health-related field
- Experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities preferred
- Valid driver's license and automotive insurance
- Flexible schedule and availability to provide on-call coverage as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in a health-related area
- CPR, first aid, NCI and/or MedTech certification
Additional Requirements
- Pre-employment screening including criminal background and drug testing
- Proof of employment history or references may be required
- Positions that require driving need proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle
