Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, grooming, peri-care, toileting, and hygiene while serving them at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Provide light housekeeping, laundry, and dining room support to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment. Interact with residents, families, and visitors with empathy and respect, promptly responding to requests for assistance. Observe and report changes in resident health, emotional wellbeing, and safety hazards to the supervisor daily. Ensure residents sign out when leaving the community and comply with HIPAA regulations. Participate in leisure activities, emergency response, and mandatory trainings while mentoring new employees and following established policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to two years related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to stand
