Job Summary
Assist clients with daily personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while supporting mobility and transfers. Prepare meals, manage medication reminders, and handle light housekeeping, laundry, and linen changes. Provide transportation, run errands, and offer companionship and emotional support to seniors and homebound individuals. Maintain safety by using proper equipment and following care instructions. Requires valid driver's license, auto insurance, and ability to work every other weekend shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours. Minimum 30 hours of availability per month and at least one year of caregiving experience needed.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Auto insurance coverage
- Ability to work every other weekend
- Minimum 30 hours of availability per month
- At least 1 year of professional caregiving, CNA, or home care experience
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and kneel for extended periods
- Ability to climb stairs and reach overhead
- Comfortable working in homes with pets or smokers
- Ability to use proper safety equipment (gloves, masks, etc.)
- Ability to read and follow care instructions and safety guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with dementia or Alzheimer's care is a plus
